Through a grant from the NYS Document Heritage Program, Shoulders to Stand On contacted 137 local organizations, identified documents that pertain to Rochester, NY's LGBT history, and placed 15 of these collections in permanent repositories. The repositories are located at the Gay Alliance of the Genesee Valley, the University of Cornell, and other local organizations.
