The Sue Cowell papers contain correspondence, news clippings, photographs, scrapbooks, journal articles, newsletters, magazines, flyers, brochures, programs, publicity materials, bumper stickers, pins, and other ephemera.

PERSONAL PAPERS (1970-2012). These speak to Sue’s early activism, her career, and published profiles and interviews about or with Sue.

 

  • Handmade newspapers: Two issues of “The Cowell Courier,” dated February 27, 1970 and March 6, 1970. [These were created by Sue Cowell for an assignment for a journalism class at Hicksville High School.]
  • Student newspapers: Nine issues of Anduril, 1971-1972. [The Anduril is a college paper which Sue Cowell edited as a student at SUNY New Paltz.] Issues include:
